Int. 52 Hours - Day
This was my final short film at NYU. It's a drama about a husband and wife in the 52 hours after tragedy strikes. I wrote,
produced, and directed it. I also did a little editing/sound design/sound mixing here and there. Shot on Super 16mm film, it is 13 minutes
long.

The sound recordist for the first day of the shoot came to set stoned, and screwed things up pretty bad -- the entire day's
sound was unusable. He was replaced on the following days, but the scene at breakfast that opens with the eggs had to be looped, and the
score needed to be heavy handed as a result. I think I've finally reached a point where I can view it as a whole, not just seeing the 20% that
went wrong and ignoring the 80% that went right. I also think it may have been worth it for the lessons learned and the knowledge I gained while
seeking a "holy grail" to fix things (which didn't exist).
Side note: if I could make one non-production change in hindsight, I'd have had the child in critical care for a few
hours before passing away, providing more of an arc for the couple.
